Life has been hectic here, but we have certainly been enjoying ourselves!!I love having the 2 babes around and Owen is such a little personality he always keeps us laughing. Ben is homw now and we're all really loving the time together and making the most of weekends by getting out in the sunshine and just enjoying our family time.

 

Owen is nearly 2 now. He is always testing his limits but is generally a good boy. Even though his mischeivous actions can be frustrating,he is very good compared to other babes his age..He is generally a good listener and has very good manners(always saying "gank you" when he gets something). He can put 2 words together for alot of things now too,like "uh oh car"(car crash). He also loves the "Gaggles"(wiggles).We are going to the concert in december and mummy(and owen)are both really looking forward to it..we both know all their songs and Owen does the dances too!!So cute!! He absolutely adores animals, the newest addition is a kitten, and he’s mostly pretty gentle with them!!"Bella Cat" seems to really love him too and follows him all around the house. She evens sits up in the passenger seat of his ride in car while he drives around!! He also loves his sister, Miss Milly, and is always kissing her and hugging her and trying to make her laugh(which was by licking her repeatedly today!!ugh!!)

 

Milly is now just over 7 months old(where has the time gone??)She is such a joy and generally happy and laid back..although the last month or so she has started to get more demanding. She doesn’t like to be left alone or have to wait for anything. She also seems to feel that she must get out of her cot the second her eyes open, unlike Owen who used to play in there for up to an hour some days!!(and he still plays in his room every morning until I go in to get him up!!)That hasn’t been an issue until the last 2 weeks when it gets light at 5am, ugh!!bring on daylight savings!!But all in all we are going along really well.

 

Owen is starting swimming lessons tomorrow morning and I’ll have to get in the pool with him(its been a while for me too!!eek!!)but it should be really good. Hopefully Princess Milly will be happy to sit in the pram and watch the action!!

So finally I have a quiet minute to myself(and it will only be a minute because both babes are asleep,but owen will be up shortly then get him dressed, get milly up and rush out the door to get fitted for a bridesmaid dress-have to be leave here in 15 mins!!)but am glad to have a bit of time to get on and say hi!!I have been reading all the emails just been crazy busy.. We had the babies christening on Sunday just gone(mothers day),we had them both christened together, it was such a gorgeous day and we had it on the ship and they were christened in the bell(a navy tradition), looking out at the harbour bridge, opera house and fort Denison..it couldn’t have been a better spot. I’ll post some pics when we get them(relying on rellos cameras!!) We also had my cousin, her hubby and their 2 babes(same age as ours) and my friend and her 3 kids(3yrs,nearly 2yrs, and 6 mths)all staying here on sat night, so including us it was 5 adults and 7 small kids/babies in a 3 b/rm townhouse..thats gotta be a record or something!! Well, apart form that we are going along well, Milly had a few rough days(well, rough for her..she really is a dream baby!!)earlier this week where she wasn’t sleeping properly or resettling and just wanted to be held all the time(I think because she had been held all weekend), but she’s back to normal as of yesterday..thank goodness!! She’s getting really big now and is even starting to outgrow some of her 000’s!! She loves her play gym toys and talks to them for ages!! She’s started grabbing them this week too, especially the mouse as she can get a really good grip on his tail!! Owen is also growing up so fast, he is completely obsessed with the phone and all the AV equipment(a ‘gadget man’ just like his dad!!). He also loves the car and when we say we’re going in the car he races to the gate and waits(usually crankily!!)until you come and out him in..He does the same for bed when he’s tired!!No party animal here!! He really has taken to Milly now too, and pops her dummy back in and talks to her in his own language..so gorgeous!! Ben is away again soon, but we are in a good routine now so it will be fine..especially since we’ll probably end up being at Grandma and Grandad’s, or Nanny and Poppy’s for half the time!!

Well, things are going along well here.. we have just been super busy. I never realised how much more washing would be created having a second baby in the house. These days, it seems if i'm not washing clothes, i'm wiping bottoms!!The fun never ends!!haha!! But life is great.. Amelia is going so well and has been sleeping thru(from 9-5) for 3 weeks now!!She is truly unbelievable!!She is absolutely gorgeous and started smiling and cooing last week, which is so lovely. She is growing so fast and when we got her weighed and measured last week she was 59.5cm long and weighed 5kg(up 800g and 7cm since birth!!)She is really chilled out and has just taken to Owen..she just stares at him when they're in the pram. Owen is doing well too. He's walking 95% of the time now and just looks so grown up walking all around the place..He hasn't got any new words recently and just toddles around saying "Bir"(bird) and "Gee"(doggy) and comes up with some funny combinations of the 2, eg "Bir Gee Gee Bir Bir Gee", and talks in his own language like everyone can understand!!Very funny!!He absolutely loves his books and can find a whole array of animals in his books: birds, ducks, chickens, cats(which he also calls "gee"),dogs and bears. He can also point to heaps of body parts when asked: head, belly, legs, toes, tongue(pokes his tongue out), teeth(clicks his teeth), and of course penis(such a boy!!daddy taught him that..).He brushes his teeth every night now with toothpaste and toothbrush(with a little help from mum or dad!!)He has such a sense of humour and a real love of music and loves pressing his musical toys and dancing around!! He has also discovered how to climb and has been putting that skill to good use reaching things that have been banned for months!!He's a real little monkey!! Ben is going away again in a few weeks, which will be hard,but it will be ok as long as we get into a routine. He's been on duty for a night and although i was flat chat, it was ok..and owen goes to bed at 6.30-7pm so it all settles down then..
